What does Megaplier mean?
In the majority of states, there is a Megaplier feature that allows players to multiply non-jackpot prize winnings by 2, 3, 4, or 5. You can play the Megaplier for an extra $1 in a participating state.
If you purchased the Megaplier feature, any non-jackpot prize you win on a Mega Millions play will be multiplied by the Megaplier number drawn. For instance, if the Megaplier number drawn is 5 and you win the $1 million second-tier prize in Mega Millions, your prize would be a whopping $5 million if you had purchased the Megaplier for just an extra $1!
