Commissioner Adam Silver weighed in during the hectic NBA offseason, which was highlighted by the approaching Kevin Durant lottery.
Silver talked about how Durant asked for a trade just days before the start of his four-year, $198 million contract extension .

In February, during NBA All-Star Weekend, Silver reiterated his displeasure with players' outspoken trade requests.
His remarks followed the Philadelphia 76ers' trade
with the Brooklyn Nets, who had acquired James Harden from the Houston Rockets in January 2021, to acquire Harden.
